Yes, I admit... I am subscribed to the Esquire newsletter. Because of the great articles, of course. This week Esquire announced their 2011 Elf: Karin Vanasse. Wow, I thought, another Flemish girl makes it in the States. So... I checked who she is and - more importantly - where she is from. Turns out she is not Flemish, but Canadian. Of course, I was a little disappointed. But not really, since her ancestors certainly made the trip across the ocean from Belgium at some point. It's the story of so many American and Canadian people. Hmm... There's an idea... The Red Star Line, wonder how the project in Antwerp for the new museum is doing. Let me look it up for you.
