Too scary - #Trust30 - Day 9

Yesterday's prompt: Afraid to Do by Mary Jaksch

The other terror that scares us from self-trust is our consistency; a reverence for our past act or word, because the eyes of others have no other data for computing our orbit than our past acts, and we are loath to disappoint them. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Emerson says: “Always do what you are afraid to do.” What is ‘too scary’ to write about? Try doing it now.

I did not get the prompt yesterday and I admit I kind of missed it. Addictive it is, this project... ;-)

But then I saw yesterday's prompt on the web site this morning and I thought: "Oh my God, what other prompts can I expect the next couple of days? This is scary..." Why is it scary? Because all the world can see what I write here. Yes, everyone can, but will they? Do they care?

Then again, all Emerson says is an interpretation of what the Samurai wisdom states as: "Fight your battles." And I wrote about that already. Battles are always scary. Fighting them is a challenge easily put off. So today, writing this post is my battle. And by referring to my earlier post, I kind of fought it. Or didn't I...
