For Kursaal Oostende Shakalaka! set-up the new concept "Rocksaal". The concept means to bring rock and pop concerts to Oostende. At the same time this will bring new audiences to the unique venue.The Human League had the honour to open the venue on December 14th. Delavega was the first Belgian band to play at Rocksaal the day after (funny that one, their album is also called "The Day After").
The audience was very impressed with the atmosphere at the venue and also with the sound quality. Belgian rock star Luc De Vos has been a big fan of The Human League for years and he attended Friday night's concert. After the concert he said he liked the cosiness of the venue and that he is looking forward to playing himself at Rocksaal. Gorki, Luc's band, is performing at Rocksaal on May 10th, 2008.
