It's amazing to see how many people are passionate about what they do. Earlier this week I discovered a little gem of a movie. It's called "Jiro dreams of sushi" and it tells the story of 85 year old Jiro Ono and his passion for sushi. Jiro's tiny sushi place in a Tokyo subway is not just any sushi place. It has 3 Michelin stars! Even just looking at the trailer of the movie, you know why: Jiro's passion for his product, for his job. Just summing up some of the things he says and what other people say about him, makes you stand in awe. "Even at my age, in my work I haven't reached perfection. I'll continue to climb, trying to reach the top. But no one knows where the top is..." "If Jiro has any regrets, he's crazy." The movie is out in the States now. And I hope some distributor picks it up for Europe too. And yes, keep dreaming, because Jiro's grand visions of sushi come to him in his dreams...
